About The Owners

Nick Colliflower

Nick was born and raised in Westminster in Orange County, California. Sports and Skateboarding were early interests but once he started playing the drums he never looked back.

After playing for a string of bands throughout high school he found himself playing drums for Three Bad Jacks, a well known rockabilly/punk band from Los Angeles. His time in the band found him touring nationally and internationally. It was this experience that inspired him to pursue a life in music.

After his time with that band was through he wanted to see what it was like “behind the glass” so to speak. This led to him apprenticing at Sound Asylum recording studio under Mike Troolines as well as earning an Audio Engineering degree with the Recording Connection Audio Institute.

Many tours and recording sessions with many different artists followed both behind the drums and behind the board. In 2018 he moved to Temecula, CA, met his business partner, Andrew, and the idea for Discrete Sounds was born.

Andrew Gongora

Andrew is an audio-video engineer who has worked in the industry for 7 years. Andrew worked at Jim Kaufman productions in 2015 as an assistant engineer. At Kaufman’s he worked with legendary punk band Anti-Flag on their record American Spring. He also worked as a video engineer for Meeting Services Inc. where he worked on major corporate events and concerts.

Andrew has worked on many sessions and events gaining proficient knowledge to perform successful audio recordings, video productions and live sound for concerts.

Working in the entertainment industry is Andrew’s passion and he loves working with artists to create their vision and make it a reality. He also enjoys playing his guitar, writing new music to share with others and can help with guitar production or even sit in on recording sessions for those who need guitar tracks for their production.
